In the wake of two powerful hurricanes, Helene and Milton, Disaster Response has once again proven its commitment to emergency property restoration by sending its elite CAT (Catastrophe) Team to Florida. With a robust team of 16 highly skilled employees from Idaho and 200 team members hired from Florida to help, the company has been at the forefront of cleanup and rebuilding efforts in some of the hardest-hit areas of the state.
Disaster Response’s Rapid Mobilization
Since Hurricane Helene made landfall in late September 2024, Disaster Response quickly deployed its CAT Team to Florida. Team DR was among the first to arrive, assess the situation, and begin coordination for large-scale restoration efforts along with other CORE members, like Insurcomm and Regency Disaster Response Team. As a recognized leader in emergency restoration services, Disaster Response wasted no time in launching 36 active projects across key regions such as Siesta Key, Longboat Key, St. Pete Beach, St. Petersburg, and Eden Isle.

Equipped with four 53-foot mobile branches and our specialized CAT Trailer, Disaster Response’s team has been hard at work providing essential repairs and mitigation to homes, condos, commercial properties, and high-rises. These mobile units allow the team to operate efficiently and respond swiftly to the widespread damage caused by the hurricanes. Partnering with local independent contractors, Disaster Response has extended its capacity to tackle the immense challenges of post-hurricane recovery.
