At Disaster Response, we’re honored to celebrate the achievements and community involvement of our employees, particularly those who embody our core values. This year, we’re proud to recognize Jen Goe, our Sales Director, as she steps into the role of President of the Executive Women International (EWI) Spokane Chapter for 2024-2025. Jen’s journey with EWI reflects her commitment to “Dedication to Serve Humbly,” a value that she not only embraces within Disaster Response but also extends to her broader community.
In her heartfelt letter marking this new chapter, Jen reflected on the incredible legacy of the EWI Spokane Chapter, celebrating 45 years of impactful work in the Spokane community. As she wrote, “It is a privilege to serve as the current President of a chapter with such a rich history of leadership, community, and service to professionals in business.” Since its founding in 1938 in San Francisco, EWI has grown into a national organization dedicated to professional development and empowering women in business. The Spokane Chapter, established in 1978, has been a place for professionals to build meaningful connections, develop their leadership skills, and give back to the community.
Jen’s personal connection to Spokane adds depth to her leadership and community connection. “As someone born and raised in Spokane,” she wrote, “I have a deep love for this community and am incredibly proud to be part of an organization that makes a real difference here.” Her pride in Spokane is extraordinary, and her new role as EWI President allows her to give back to the city she calls home—a testament to her spirit of service and gratitude.
For Jen, EWI Spokane is more than a professional network; it’s a family. She describes EWI as “a space where we come together not just as professionals, but as individuals—offering support, insight, and encouragement when it’s needed most.” At EWI, members form bonds that go beyond business, uplifting each other and celebrating one another’s successes. “The friendships and connections we make here are not only professional; they are deeply personal,” she shared.
Jen’s leadership within EWI Spokane aligns seamlessly with Disaster Response’s commitment to community engagement and service. As an organization, we strive to live out our core values daily, especially “Dedication to Serve Humbly.” We know that the impact of our work reaches beyond the walls of homes and businesses—it extends into the hearts of the communities we serve. Jen’s new role is a reminder of the power of genuine connection and compassion, both in business and in life.
As EWI Spokane celebrates its 45th anniversary, Jen’s focus on leadership development and community service underscores her dedication to empowering others. One of EWI Spokane’s proudest achievements, the EWI Scholarship Program, helps students pursue higher education, investing in the next generation. Reflecting on this legacy, Jen shared: “Through our work, we aim to make Spokane stronger, more vibrant, and more connected.”
We at Disaster Response couldn’t be prouder to support Jen in her journey with EWI Spokane. Her leadership, humility, and unwavering commitment to service are an inspiration to us all. Congratulations, Jen, on this new role, and thank you for being a remarkable example of our values in action. Here’s to the next 45 years of EWI Spokane, empowering professionals, building connections, and making a difference in our beloved Spokane community.
