Look in Corners
There are several factors that mold needs to grow. Mold needs darkness, warmth, and moisture. That’s why the basement and the attic are two places it often proliferates. You should look in the corners of your basement and attic. The corners are often hotbeds for mold because they’re often shielded from the light, and moisture often collects in corners.

Look in Closets
A lot of the risk factors that you’ll find in a cabinet are also found in closets. Oftentimes, air conditioning units, hot water heaters, and other appliances are kept in closets or laundry rooms. If a single seal on your hot water heater is leaking, it will create a very dark and humid environment in the closet.
